Darkplaces music not working

So i got darkplaces and I have all the tracks labelled correctly and within the right directory (id1/SOUND/CDTRACKS). they are also labelled properly and are in the right file format (ie. track002.ogg). The giant tease here is that the cd audio plays in the intro demo, but not in the actual GAME.

Did you try to play without mods and start with fresh config ?
