    started a topic JoeQuake

    JoeQuake

I have a question about joequake, I'm currently downloading it as I type this. But when the download is complete, do I have to stick the folder/file/.exe anywhere special for it to work?

Agree the list here is better. I think Baker posted the qview file with the loaded servers? Of course.. My memory is failing lately.

FOQ, that Gameaholic server list sucks. They hardly ever update it -- Yellow, Mr. Burns, Jackhammer and others have submitted several servers lately more than 2 weeks ago -- and it shows like 51 servers when there are a lot more than that.

The list here and at Quake1.net are a lot better.

You didnt read my really long post did u
I told u all u have to do is type connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx stands for an IP. To get active Quake server IPs, you can see who's where with
    this --- click here
Uhh, I would recommend scrolling down and clicking next...

You need to go in your quake folder and delete the file opengl32.dll
    teh edit:
the reason you're missing glide2x.dll is because glide2x.idd is a file that comes with voodoo/3dfx drivers. !!DO NOT!! install voodoo/3dfx drivers!! Just delete opengl32.dll and unless you have more questions you'll be happy.

With JoeQuake, the joequake.exe/joequake-gl.exe and dzip go in c:\quake; the .dll and the pak0.pak go in c:\quake\joequake

If you can't figure it out, you can use the JoeQuake 0.14 EZ Installer in the Files -> Clients (there isn't one for JoeQuake 0.15 yet, but there will be), the EZ Installer is built in such a way that it won't allow you to install it wrong.

Everything goes in your Quake directory. Thrn you make a shortcut from Joequake to your desktop. As you will find out, you canNOT change resolutions in gl joequake or any other gl engine (except darkplaces or fitzquake). SO to change resolution, you must right-click on you shortcut, then click properties.
You will see this; assuming your Quake folder is named QUAKE and in the c:\ directory.

Now to change resolution (I recommend 1024x768x32) you must type addons to the command line; like so...

(note that where it says Cheatfree, is just the name of my shortcut. I normally use wqpro.exe but I made this special just for u)
