    Hi Fuzz,
While you're in the process of figuring it out, in the interim if it's for you personally then you're welcome to use my Live quake server browser on my site which, incidentally, uses QStat at the back end, and if you need player specific information then please let me know via a pm here or at the TU board, or my board. I can turn that feature on fairly quickly is so desired. For more technical based information we'd probably be well advised to take the discussion off line via email/pm/etc before the readership slip in to a boredom coma :d

    I hope this helps

    Kind regards

    Monty

You could try the ProQuake Launcher Beta, it comes with QView pre-configured. Install and go, nothing to do -- start and play.

If you have a REAL old computer, like something under 700 Mhz, I do not recommend trying the ProQuake Launcher Beta.

I have Qview installed and I can't figure out what to do next. Any hints? I clicked on help, it of course took me to BFE to some gaming site shoving ads in my face. They can't just put the quick up and running helplist in the help there can they?

I think I did a general search of the site for qview and I came up with only this thread as a search result. But thanks Baker.

Pita, try renaming exe files to .htm or something. That's what I have to do when Emailing EXE's.

Downloads -> Quake Clients -> QView

I know it can be difficult to sometimes spot stuff in there due to the quantity (there is a "Search" in the Downloads section but I barely notice it myself).

I dunno. I can't figure out Qstat. I can't find Qview. Pita said you had it hosted on Quakeone for download all setup already or something Baker. Then she's started naggin' at me why I didnt have it already.

Ah well. something will turn up. It's too much headache right now.

Can someone help me out with it or tell me how to use Qview?
You go into options and set your Quake command line and give it your Quake path and double click a server to connect to it. It is straightforward, but not very fancy.

Click on the servers pages and move the mouse over the number of players. Or you could download QView, a server browser. QTracker is said to be excellent for this purpose, but I've never tried it (Go to www.gamestatus.net and there is a link for that one.)
