Need help installing mission disks

Hello, this is my first post at Quakeone.com! Glad to meet you.

I have Quake I plus Scourge of Armagon and Dissolution of Eternity all on original CDROMs. I succeeded in copying Quake to my hard drive by using the command prompt program in Widows XP. Then I downloaded and ran GLQuake/WinQuake client and the game is working.

I need your help with installing the Armagon and Eternity mission disks. I did a test setup of the Armagon disk and it "installed" to the Quake directory without any errors reported but then Armagon fails to launch.

It won't. All settings/savegames will stay. It will just replace your glquake.exe (which you could rename before to make sure you can go back to it).

Spirit, thanks for the new client but I have 80% completed the game in the single player mode. I'm playing the last episode where you find and destroy Shib-Niggurah (or whatever they call her).

When I run your program, I hope it won't delete my saves?

Just make new shortcuts to the glquake.exe and add "-hipnotic" or "-rogue" in the commandline.

Let me suggest using aguirRe's glquake though, it is way better (bug fixes, improved compatibility, new features and so on) than the old glquake. http://user.tninet.se/xir870k/glquakebjp.zip
