Sorry but this is really pissing me off, I found a link to a great site that had all the of the Quake weapons remodeled (even had several variations) but for the life of me I can't find the link now
I've been trying to find it for half an hour now.

Thanks. So I take it there are no actually high poly remodels, just reskins? I'm currently using 'Yellow No. 5 set' since this PC can't handle real-time lighting. Once again, thanks for all the help
Edit:
I just tried it and it works perfectly! Not only does it work well but it's the best out of the three (IMO). I looked at every monster and they all rendered fine. And a "secret" file ... Gunter's monster skins in pk3 format. This file is not in the download section because the skins do not all render properly in DarkPlaces for some reason but if you want to try it:
The only 'bug' I noticed is that the grunt doesn't have a new skin but it's easy to just grab the sharpened grunt from Yellow No. 5's set. I recommend some more people test it on the latest DP and if it works have it added to the downloads section :>Last edited by vertigo; 08-30-2007, 09:42 PM.

Hehehe, I have to admit I got a little bit scared when you said "do you know where I can get the original models?" :d :d
A visual representation of how I felt when I read that:

Heheheheh, I've miscommunicated in forums before so it's not like I've not done that :d
There are ...Originally posted by vertigo View PostEdit: Sorry, another quick question
Are there any hd monster replacement paks? I only have custom skins and they're just the standard ones run through a sharpen filter.
1) "Yellow No. 5 set" -- author unknown, just higher res standard skins as far as I can tell. In the pk3 section.
2) Ogro's -- They look weird UNLESS used with real time lighting on in DarkPlaces. In the pk3 section.
And a "secret" file ... Gunter's monster skins in pk3 format. This file is not in the download section because the skins do not all render properly in DarkPlaces for some reason but if you want to try it:

I misunderstood your post and worded mine in a confusing way :/ I thought that you meant that the plague models on that page were just reskins of some other models. Thanks for all the help.

Those (Plague's) are replacement models (those were added to the QRP page fairly recently, I wasn't thinking of them at the time I did my above post).By 'original models' I meant Plague's models.
The other items like:

That's just a texture for the original Quake model.
Agreed :d Moved.Don't some of the files from the '24 Bit Textures' belong in 'PK3 - Models and Textures (DarkPlaces)'?
No problem. If you open one of the PK3 files with a pk3 editor such as PakScape, you can see the file structure and naming convention.Originally posted by vertigo View PostYeah, sorry about being a noob. I haven't modded Quake in years.
The problem is that with most of the QRP items, they are meant for FuhQuake/eZQuake and have the wrong foldernames and/or the wrong file names to work with DarkPlaces.

The original models = the ones that came with Quake.
It sounds to me like you need more help than you are going to be able to receive in a forum.
I would recommend either ....
---------------------------------
1. You use pre-packaged PK3 weapon and texture sets available in the PK3 section here. These are easy to use. For instance, Plague's Pak weapon models are here:
http://www.quakeone.com/index.php?in...le&file_id=149
OR
2. There is contact information on Quake Remodelling Project page, including an IRC chat room where someone could explain everything in real time:
QRP contact page: http://facelift.quakedev.com/contact/
IRC chat: irc.quakenet.org in #qrp

Those aren't new models, just re-skins of the skin for existing models.
