In DP, r_coronas 0 will turn off the laser glow.

If you don't have a video card that supports GL 2.0 then you should do r_glsl 0 as well.

This should kill the screen flicker easy:

    gl_ztrick 0
    gl_clear 1

Only relatively recently have all the "Quake video card issues" really been fully understood and if aguirRe releases an update to Enhanced GLQuake I sure hope it has ...

    gl_ztrick default to 0
    gl_clear default to 1
    Intel fix
    ALT-TAB fix

Aggravating little issues like the above cause a lot of grief and with Quake the problems are more like death by 1000 cuts where someone somewhere is getting frustrated with a handful of these things rather than some single issue.

Btw, your issue with the HUD disappearing in Nehahra ... type viewsize 100 in the console --- this is happening because if you exit during a cutscene, the cutscene appears to set viewsize 120 to hide the HUD and if you quit during a cutscene then viewsize 120 saves to your config.
    Tried those already, didn't work.

Then I used Darkplaces, and it worked. but I get an low framerate when the Enforcers fire their lasers, which has some light around it in the Darkplace engine.

The Glquake.exe supplied with Nehahra is not jerky nor does it flickers. That's why I wanted a version of it to run other mods.

I used DPNehahra and it ran without any problems.

However, the Darkplaces engine seems to be a bit jerky on my computer, while the GLquake.exe packaged with Nehahra ran perfectly, I was wondering what version of GLquake that is and where i could get it to run other mods.

    I've used this:

    http://user.tninet.se/~xir870k/glquakebjp.zip

before and It gave me flickering screens that I was unable to fix.

Darkplaces recognises such faulty mapping and tries keeping the items in the map. And that results in this funky behaviour. You can disable it with "sv_gameplayfix_droptofloorstartsolid 0" I think, but then the items are gone.

While we are at it, you might want to set the following cvars to 0 to get proper Quake gameplay.

    sv_gameplayfix_blowupfallenzombies 0
    sv_gameplayfix_grenadebouncedownslopes 0
    sv_gameplayfix_qwplayerphysics 0
Well, I ran your repackaged Gl nehahra again, and it does not appear to have this problem, the items were staying put. But there is something else. When I was playing, the status bar was black and only visble when the menu is on.

    I have attached a pic:

It gave me all the weapons including the new fangled ones.

I tested using the following command lines after using Spirit's Nehahra zip as an install.

    c:\quake\joequake-gl.exe -nehahra -game nehahra
    c:\quake\dpnehahra.exe -nehahra -game nehahra
    c:\quake\nehahra.exe -nehahra -game nehahra

The dpnehahra.exe and the nehahra.exe are supplied in the zip file.

Impulse 222 worked for all 3 situations. I bound impulse 10 to a key to cycle through the weapons and they were all there.

    Nehahra cheat codes:

Many emails received regarding cheats, they are included with the devkit documentation, but here goes:

    MAX --- GOD MODE
    MONSTER - NOTARGET
    WRAITH - NOCLIP
    GIMME - GIVE
    SCRAG - FLY
    IMPULSE 222 - Old Impulse 9

My graphics card is broken (so I have no OpenGL) so I cannot test that at the moment. Sorry. I am sure Baker will be able to help when he is back.

If you think you need an updated engine add
Darkplaces: The darkplacesenginewind.. on top at http://icculus.org/twilight/darkplaces/files/?M=D , at the moment that is http://icculus.org/twilight/darkplac...80609beta1.zip

    Or aguirRe's Nehahra exe:
http://user.tninet.se/~xir870k/nehquakebjp.zip (it is named glquake.exe, maybe rename it to nehglquake.exe or something). With this engine you will not need to append -nehahra.
I ran your version of the repackaged version of Nehahra, and it ran, however, when I used the new cheat codes (impulse 222), I still cannot access the new weapons. Is this a feature or am I doing somethin wrong?
