  • GeForce Problems

Upgrade to a GeForce 9600 GT video card today, very excited, driver virsion 178.13.
Fired up Quake and the screen was mostly white, WTF?
I had this problem before I think when I upgraded my old Ati card's drivers, went all wacky....reloaded old driver and back to normal. Why does this happen, I'd like to run the newer drivers....any thoughts?
Hurry I'm freakin out here, it's been 2 days!

Try to add -no8bit to the command line.
    fxp : glpro.exe -no8bit.

    Hope it helps.

disable vsync in driver and in client (vid_vsync 0)
and maybe set max fps (pq_maxfps / cl_maxfps) to 300 or so to start with then up the limit to see how high it goes.. (pq_drawfps 1 / show_fps 1)
too high fps may actually cause lag and maybe all sorts of other weird stuff
