Quake 1 on Macbook

Hi i was wondering if anybody could help me...(think i posted this on the wrong forum before..)

Im running quake on my macbook with dosbox and i really wanna unlock the full game but don't for the life of me know how any help? multiplayer help would be awesome help too if you could

I'm also playing Quake on DOS but mine is second hand and was registered by the original owner. As far as getting the game you have to play all four episodes, i think your at a dead end.

But there are remakes of Quake that can be downloaded, look around this forumn and people speak about them. I'm sorry i cant help you but i'm using the original DOS version becasue i prefer it.

i live in africa so i can't call id....isn't there a way of getting the full game to just work on my mac? im using hey im using the quake engine fRuitz-oF-doJo UB GLQuake.

If you mean registering it, then you gotta call 'id' up. But i'm not even sure if that works anymore. When the game came out in 1996, i think you only bought the first episode then had to pay $40 to buy all four episodes.

This included a postage of packaging charge so i'm not totally aware of how it worked. Is your version the orignal or from the Ultimate Quake pack? If its the original and needs registering, then ring up 'id' or check on their website.

If by "unlock the full game " you mean something else, then tell me and i'll try to help from there.
