I found the id1 LIT pack for quake. I really like the colored lights. I'm using them with DirectQ.
I was wondering if there are LIT packs for Armagon and Eternity mission packs?

lits for mission packs
upload is ready, but don't expect too much. lits for some maps are missing because especially in doe some maps look weird with colored lights. scourge of armaggon is fine... maybe with exception of the start level. the rest is o.k.
link here
lits for travail - i'm not sure, but i think that colored lights generated from the revised maps should work with the original bsp files. i have revised the map files, but the geometry or lights haven't changed. anyway, in case of any troubles you can still use the revised bsp files and set r_wateralpha 1.

So this is all the travail maps redone plus the lit files? So I can just take the lit files out and use them with the original Travail maps?link to my upload - archive with travail revised maps and lit files. more about this upload in this thread
I don't use transparent water, so I don't really have a need for them. Just looking for the lit files.

I'm going to keep trying to fiddle with it. But, it would still be appreciate it if you would upload the ones you made. I'm interested seeing what travail looks like too. Thanks.but if you want i can upload these files to quaketastic anyway. and my personal tip - travail looks really great with colored lights (especially the secret levels in epizode two).

to mh: i have quake in e:\games\quake1 and to me it really doesn't matter where winmhcolour.exe is located. for me, it always works with bsp files, but the addpak button seems to be quite random... sometimes works, sometimes doesn't work. however, my id1 folder is full of various mods and is far away from being "standard".

Hmmmm - it should work with PAK files and it shouldn't be greying out the buttons. Very very odd...
It does need to be able to find your Quake palette from your PAK0.pak though, so you need to have your ID1 folder pretty standard (and preferably in C:\Quake). Maybe that's it?
Anyway, it's what Jakub1 said; LIT files just don't work well with the mission packs. SoA rotating brushes screw them up badly too - just look at the start map.

strange thing...
it's wierd... 'cause i'm definitely using the same version like you. you should ask mh directly about this. as for the lit files for quake mission packs - i used winmhcolour for both addons and it doesn't look as good as in quake. its quite o.k. in scourge of armagon, but it looks bad to me in dissolution of eternity. e.g. only some parts of the map have colored lights while the rest of the level remains the same; so in the end you have clasic black/gray level with only a few places that are completely red, but if you want i can upload these files to quaketastic anyway. and my personal tip - travail looks really great with colored lights (especially the secret levels in epizode two).

Well, what we were saying is that AddBSP etc. does not work for us.
I bet it is easy when it works.

colored lights
i've created lit files for a lot of maps and it is easy. i'm not a mapper so if i can do it than anyone can :-). run winmhcolour.exe, browse to the bsp files you want to process, click add bsp and than click lights bsps. lit file will be created in the same directory as the original bsp file. winmhcolour doesn't work with pak files so you have to open pak files with pakexplorer.

I tried looking at the program. No clue what's going on. I tried using it, but can't seem to do anything. I select a pak, click add pak, nothing happens. I select a bsp, select add bsp, and nothing happens. The other buttons are all greyed out and not selectable.

I don't mod or do level design of any kind. I haven't the slightest idea how to do something like that myself.
I was wondering if someone else had already made them available.
