i use glpro400 to run quake so where would i put it if im not useing darkplaces
In the demo he does mention that the mod is "a modification for darkplaces" so it might require certain features only Darkplaces can provide. However, if it will run under GLPRo then follow Spirit's instructions but change the line
    Code:
    darkplaces.exe -game qds
    to something like
    Code:
    glpro400.exe -game qds
where glpro400.exe is the name of the executable file for the quake engine you wish to use to run the mod. As Spirit quite rightly says you could save this into a batch file so you have a click and play option

So for example when wish to play on Polarite's Quake1 Painkeep mod server, I ahve a folder called painkeep in x:\quake\painkeep with all my painkeep mod files and I run
    Code:
    glpro400.exe -game painkeep -nocdaudio -width 640 -height 480 -bpp 16 -mem 64
It fires up and I go and receive my usual arse kicking from Pol

    Hope this helps

    Monty

There's only one directory and that one holds a progs.dat (you can ignore the src/ directory under it, it's not needed to play).

So most likely you have to put the folder qds on the same level as the id1 directly into your quake folder so that it is at something like C:\games\quake\qds.

Then run the game like this (assuming darkplaces.exe ist your preferred quake binary): darkplaces.exe -game qds.

You can put that line in a file named run_qds.bat (or whatever you like) in your quake directory or modify your quake shortcut to do that.

Note that the mod does not include the sounds that are in the youtube video (for copyright reasons).

^^^ It looks like fun. Im not sure where to put it either. You might just try trial and error and try it until it works
