    Map making problem

Im starting to learn how to make maps for Quake/Kurok and Im using WorldCraft,
Everything goes fine until I reach the point of running the map,
Fitz-quake turns on and says host error: program error in the console and doesn't load the map..

I found the .bps files for it and tried to just run the game and use the console and type "map MyMap",
    that doesn't work either,
    can anybody help me out?

The part of the error message that was important was the part AFTER program error which says exactly why it failed.

What was the full error message?

[9 times out of 10, it is the lack of an info_player_start for any first time mapper that isn't getting a map to run. In that case, your map needs an info_player_start, which is the place a player spawns.]

I'm no mapping expert, but do you get the same thing with other clients such as proquake? I've previously seen some maps fail in some clients but not others. There are a variety of reasons for this, such as different entity limits, but it might be worth a try.

Also although a lot of mappers use this site it might help you to try the guys over at func messageboard as it's a more mapping focussed board. I've always found mappers like ORL and Peg particularly helpful whenever I've had queries in the past

    Hope this helps
