W7 x64 problem with screen going dark

I'm trying to get Dark Places or Tenebrae working on my PC (x64 W7, B75 Pro3 board, Palit GT440 graphics, 8GB ram, i5 2500 if that's of any importance)...

I either get the dll error, or no error and a black display, the kind you get when there's on signal on it, and there's no way to "bring it back" to life (apart from resetting the PC), no mouse moves, keyboard combinations work.

So...if anyone got some ideas how to get this working?

Also...I'm trying to get the best resolution textures available, so you could recommend me where to look, if these 2 options aren't considered top notch

And my final question, off topic but since I'm here - if I buy Q1 from id website, will I get the soundtrack?

what dll error? I just installed W7 x64 and run DP/other engines just fine.

For quake , your better off with xp pro 32 , older graphics cards work best,
I gotta radon 4600 and nvidia 9500 gt , if you're lucky u might find a agp 8x card
