    truuble with smc for rogue

    Wow i shire seem to be having a lot of trouble using the smc i finely got quake and hipnotic working but with rogue the ground is gone! i start the game and then i just fall if i look down nothing but blackness if i look up i see the level getting smaller and smaller as i fall forever. in the console it reads

    loadedmap/start.ent

    sv_model index ("48") not precached (fix your coad) preching away

    sv_model index ("50") not precached (fix your coad) preching away

    sv_model index ("51") not precached (fix your coad) preching away

    sv_model index ("52") not precached (fix your coad) preching away

    sv_model index ("54") not precached (fix your coad) preching away

    thankyou so much for your help lately quake has seemed more like a puzzle game the a fps put this file hear put that one there. lol but im happy to say that everything is updated and running! thanks for all your help splitterface!

    i know exactl what your problem is, cuz this is a known problem.

    it is caused by are using ent files for ID1 but not for rogue. cuz the start-maps from ID1 HYPNOTIC & ROGUE are all called 'start' and there is an ent-file start.ent present in the ID1 folder darkplaces uses that ent file for rogue start-map.

    solution: use an ent-file for start-map of rogue: http://quakeone.com/forums/quake-mod...tml#post117447

    also, about the 'precache' errors... always be sure to restart a map after installing smc for first time, and after updating to a new version of SMC. open console and type 'restart' to restart the map. not doing so will cause problems cuz the save-game will still be using the qc from old version or from without the smc
