you know, 1 thing that really pisses me off is pricks like you coming on and critizizing this forum. sure people can be a little rough around here, but what do you expect from a bunch of peeps who play a game from '96?

Are these forums moderated? Guess not. The problem here is not the "oh my god think of the kids! their fragile young minds blablabla". The problem here is that behavior like yours (specially you r00k) is not to be encouraged, on the contrary. I don't want to start a thread on these forums and just get randomly insulted out of nowhere. The forums should be a place to have healthy discussion, not a place to have fights over the internet (which is ridiculous btw). You want the quake 1 community to just die? Because you people here (the regulars) may be ok with this kind of behavior but new people who first come to the site may not be. The simple fact this forum has such a bad reputation should be warning enough for you, but I guess not. I came from the zdoom forums and the difference is enourmous...

well, it's privately owned. But go gaming online, listen to all the bullshit thats 1000 time more per hour worth of crap your kids are subject to.
here it's just one post every other hour. Remember paper is slower than, radio, slower than tv, slower than internet, slower than realtime.

if the majority of "players" are playing in realtime, on there little headset-mics bitching verbatim online against 30,000 people a week, you really cant complain about a half dozen posts of legal negativity.

What parents do not understand, is that their kids are influenced DAILY by 100000 people via the internet. this isnt 1980 with dial up ascii!!!

get your kids a fucn c64 and buy games at the pawn shop!

im all for protecting under aged kids against the rude, bullying, negative nature, and plain lewd comments.

but then Quake is a, M for Mature! game. So, one would expect most players ARE over that Restriction.

If you dont want your little princesses hearing grunt sounds then dont let them play Quake!
