Well there is nothing to "read" really it's just for the purpose of consultation/archiving when requiered.

The TOC (Table of Content) is the key to find what you looking for.

Nice work... I've seen your work (artwork) you did for... if i remember it's something about New Orleans... it's pretty cool.

This picture you just made would target a different public than the one I do... I'm looking after the "oldschool" players... ya old... I want to see them coming back to the game.

I like your idea and I might work on something different later and will remember your concept.

P.S.

At 1st view what I wish was that the "player" with the axe would be in a different color... it's just a little "incompatible" with this color may be but it's very ok... I don' really know what to say hehe.

It was just a 10 minute thing. I needed a player and an animal, along with some gibs. I found that player cartoon thing and I was like "Awesome, it has all the parts.". I desaturated it and tinted it blue, followed by an outline. I then made a gib mess, smacked the box shape designs on top and called it day.

My only goal for this....remake a cracker jack box.

I actually only posted it here because you inspired me to think of it in the way I made it. I didn't intend or expect anyone to do anything with it. I left out the logo though, just in case someone did want to mess with it. I believe the way I left it allows anyone, even if they don't have art skills, to easily make the box say whatever they want. I almost left the "Nails Inside" circle blank too, probably should have, but that's my lil joke so, I had to include it.

It's a concept.

Extra:

Here is what you can do to remake my box with the style models you want. This is how I would do it anyway.

1) open radiant and make a box shaped brush, hollow it out and apply an all black texture to it
2) put two viewthing in the map, for one add the model path for the dog and the other the player
3) assign the frame you want each to be stuck on
4) compile and run the map, find a good angle and take a screenshot

from there you can figure out how to cut out the dog and player to add them to your box cover

your entity inspector for the viewthings should look like this

model: "progs/player.mdl"
frame: 16

same for the dog (respectively) - choose any frame number you want. You will have to manually add those keys in the spot that looks like this

key:[_______________]
value:[______________]

if you have a problem in the map with loading the models, try getting rid of those quotes in the model key. I can't remember if you do or don't need them. It's one or the other.

EDIT: nope, this actually would only work for the player model. You would have to adjust viewthing in QC to accept a map specified model. oops
