plus....do you perceive google EVER going out of business or losing your files?

google drive doesn't give you a file counter for download/view hits but, I know how to fake one.

paste your link
get and post the short link

now anytime you want to know how many clicks that link got just go back to https://goo.gl and the answer will be right there on the main page as long as you are logged into your google account when you do all of this.


Want to make a google drive link a direct download link?

example drive link

change to

you can then take this link and shorten it for a direct download link with a click counter

Nice find! Wonder why google doesn't have a simpler interface for allowing non-computer savvy people to figure that out, but hey...this shit is free, right?

If your uploads are small (<5Mb, I think) and not private, there is also TinyUpload. No registration/login/password bullshit, just upload and copy/paste the link. Better keep the ways Google has to spy on you to a minimum IMO.

Thought I might mention, for anyone that may have issues with this in the future...

If you're trying to link an image from google drive, do it like you normally would (get the shareable link and insert it within the [IMG] brackets) but replace "open?" with "uc?" in the shareable link.

Works like a charm. Even better is I don't have to dick with this ever again...like gypsy said, do you ever see google going out of business aside from the event of an apocalypse? Nah.

EDIT: sumbitch, just remembered/realized gypsy already detailed all of this. Oh well, now it's posted twice...so no excuses anyone. I don't wanna see a thread on how to do this anytime soon! lol

It's just a quicky but, I think it's pretty good. I made this fan-art wallpaper for your quake guy. Of course, I didn't actually make any part of this. I hand traced your guy and cut it out, found an existing quake wallpaper to put behind it, downloaded dpfont for the little text in the corner...done.

Actually, I think it would be awesome if you made her a big and fat chick. All video games seem to make heroines sexy. The closest thing to "sexy" in quake is a vore. Quake-Bitch 2016 should be some "Jerry Springer", trailer-park chick that would believably have nothing better to do.

Extra points if you create some audio with her babbling on about Hillary Clinton and safe spaces while she is firing.
