    Sounds cool. Works on a Mac too?
    Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

    So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

              Here a simple script for linux users to help finding what went wrong. I messed a long time before doing this for finally finding it was the -mem option which was missing. It would be great to have the most common options selectable, or some kind of memo for head-in-the-sky guys like me.

              Code:
              #!/bin/sh
              /path/to/my/quake/engine ${*} >/tmp/q.log
              Don't forget to chmod +x

                  Yes, that is one thing I definitely want added. Some engine/game settings already preconfigured (mem, resolution, etc). However the main target engine (especially for Linux) is not public yet, so that's not that important right now.

                  It would be handy if the engine's output would not be not displayed.

                        I really like how detailed it is with authors and release dates.

                          it's a brilliant idea, but sadly it did not work for me. various different errors when it tried to launch a map

                            If you say what kind of errors (as specific as possible) then we can fix it.

                              unfortunately i dont think it's worth the effort for me, as i don't play many single player maps and i'm fairly adept at installing them. it's a nice program idea though, so i hope it works for others, particularly newbies
