    Q -Mark [0!0],

you posted in a thread called "Shambler's Castle Doom 3 mod",
and linked the same video as in the 1st post ?
    OK, maybe by mistake...

OoPpEes ported monsters (from this Doom3 mod to Quake1) can be found here
Thank god Obi-Wan allowed other talented people like OoPpEe to use his amazing work.
They are with no doubt the most detailed monsters you can find and use for Quake1.
Engine with md3 support is necessary though.

    Kind regards,
    Seven

Not a mix of DP and Qrack - it's the DooM 3 playing a Quake-themed mod. Fun mod but sadly they didn't do another. It was planned and was to be called "Nails of Chthon". Apparently a demo was released but all links are dead.

Also I've already ported all the monsters and weapons from this (minus the 2 Shamblers and Zombie - which is a DooM 3 hell zombie).

    Now THAT´S a nice tool.

Thank you for letting us know R00k (and Scar3crow).
This will be for sure come in handy for some wired ideas
I am curious how it handles animation frames.

    Thank you !

    Try this..
Noesis a model converter which will export to mdl including md2 md5 heritic, q3bsp, crysis a ton of model formats!

Thanks to Scar3crow over at inside3d for the heads up on this program!!

    EDIT:

WOW, this program works like a champ! I just converted some models from HL2 (base models no animations) to mdl 4000+ verts without any problems. Loads up perfectly in QMe. Now the main benefit of this would be the fact that their might be gpl2.0 compliant models in other formats that we could port to Quake1 for mod/personal use

Oh very true. I love the model and all however I miss the fur. Been working on a reskin to bring the fur back to him - so it looks more true to the original.

If it comes to personal taste, you cannot "strongly recommend" something...

Both shambler models work and are bug-free.
So the only decision can be someone´s personal taste.

The white one is a original enhanced shambler,
while FredrikH´s interpretation is very different from original (more Hellknight-Like)

    So, make your own choice

Yeah that shambler is much more frightening then the one in Seven's post. But your monsters look also very good (if good looking is something that applys to monsters). Thanks for the great work ooppee, i hope we'll get all monsters soon "prettied" up.

I made the luma for the demon/fiend basically all back as I found it stood out too much on the maps that the demon is on.

About the Shambler though, I strongly recommend this one:

    Can download here:

The download File is right on the side.

Thank you for your really great work ooppee !

Now next-gen monsters fight old blocky ones:

And the beauty is easy to see:

With this one, there are 4 in a row now:

The animations really look almost identical to the originals.

Obi-Wan made superb models and you made it possible for us using them in Quake.

I also noticed the new luma texture for the demon (which doesnt work yet) in your pack.
I will for sure follow your idea, because I like luma-effects (if its not overdone) also very much.

Best wishes and hoping to hear from you soon.
