Those are just the source files, they are to be used in with the source code of Quake. So to use them you need to get the Quake Source Code (not the engine source) and then add these qc files and also then edit the monsters code to call Seven's new functions.

    Hello gdiddy62,

everything, that is behind this: "//" is ignored.
The slashes are used for commenting something for example.

So it doesnt matter if it is a typo (yes, it is one) or not.
It is ignored by the engine/program.

I also saw your PM and will answer it shortly.

    Regards,
    Seven

There isn't a typo in the effectinfo is there? It says // this is used for sould effect
is the sould correct or should it just be soul?

    Dear all,

I updated the first post now with all the FINAL content, descriptions, movie and Download.

Thank you again for all your feedback and suggestions to help me making it.
In the end you, the player, must like it.

Now I can close the book for this animation and concentrate on the 3rd (last).

    @ Jochem
I think you are talking about the "Vengeance of the deceased" animation.
(when you speak about the red demon-thing, jumping towards the player)
That one is still under development. Read more about it in its thread.

    Best wishes,
    Seven

And what do you think about a demon who came from the body without carrying the corpse like the "ghost of the fallen" anim in fact ?

For the vengeance, I have seen a video (don't remember where) with red spirit who came from a fiend and ran directly to the player ? Isn't it the vengeance anim that we are talking about ?

    Dear all,

Now I finetuned the things that we discussed.

To meet your requests as good as possible I made the following (which I explained a few posts before already):
    - use the complete winged-demon model
    - deleted the spinning completely
    - added new sounds
    - modified some frames to get a more fluent winged-demon anim changeover
    - made him fade out at the end of the animation (a little like the corpse)
    - created 2 different animations, that will spawn randomly by default (see below for details)
--> 1. Without attacking: winged-demon only flies upwards (in almost horizontal position)
--> 2. With attacking: winged-demon has a nice fluent changeover between fly, attack and short stand animation.

You have these cvars for this efect:
    - "souldamage" [0,1] if you want to receive damage or not
    - "soulattack" [0,1,2] depending on which animation you prefer
"0" = only the animation without attacking spawns
"1" = only the animation with attacking spawns
"2" = random animation with or without attacking spawns (50/50% chance)

    QC code is done.
Please see this last youtube clip and check also the sounds if you like them better.
You will see both animations from near and from a far distance,
so that you get a feeling how long its attack range goes.

Please give me one last feedback, so that we can end this animation.
Please watch it in fullscreen and switch to "720p".

Thank you again for your always honest replies.

    Kind regards,
    Seven

PS: I am sorry to not follow the idea with "effect attacks monster" due to time and expense reason. I want to close this animations book now.
