Quake 64 TC using DirectQ for Quake

    Hi,

One night ago i found a copy of Quake 64 and hooked up my Nintendo 64 in my brother's room and brought 2 N64 Controllers and then Trevor0402 and I were testing Deathmatch at DM7 and i decided to create a TC about Quake 64

So far i did the Weapon Sounds and the LIT Lighting

    Version 0.1
    DOWNLOAD HERE

Sorry there's no screenshots there no difference except for sounds and lighting
    but not textures

Won't really work for Quake maps as it'd make it a single model and they'd have to build the map still anyways. Would just give them the guidelines.
It's fruitless if you ask me.. It's a very subpar release of Q1 IMO,much like every PC to Console port of a FPS shooter I've ever dealt with.
There would be MORE nostalgia found in getting a cheap ass N64 off ebay + the damn game, firing it up on your bigscreen/flatscren TV or Monitor. Tell me that does't sound awesome....

Though I have seen people extract the map files from n64 games, I'm sure there would be an annoying, weird and backwards way to do it. Might not be any good, but would still be amusing. xD

But as much as I enjoy going back and playing games with limitations and trying to do something quirky, I see no point in this. :/

(and I'm a die hard N64 fan, so I would normally be at least interested in something like this.)

Do not include the Quake game in any of your downloads. Quake is a copyright protected game and is not freeware.

R00k i made this TC cause my favorite console port for Quake 1 is the N64 Version and Why would you call the N64 version a crappy version?!

I still dont understand the excitement over this conversion.
Even the Ultra 64 project seemed kinda weird.

If you have the original Quake, why play a crappier version?

And actually besides just ripping music and sounds,
most other things like water lava sky were by MH coded into DirectQ....

did quake 64 use the rumbel pack? it would be sweet if it did and that worked for pc. i also understand that Quake 64 had a 2 player split screen for 2 player that would be sweet for pc also. keep up the good work!
