  • Working jump pad for Quake

    I wasn't sure where this went, since it wasn't a finished project, or was it a WIP.
    I got a strange idea to try and make jump pads using wind tunnels, but since the game can only send you one direction with a wind tunnel, I got the idea of using a slope with a horizontal wind tunnel entity, it worked, and if the strength of the wind is changed, these pads will send the player flying!

    Jumppad_test

    The maps not much to look at, 3 pads, 3 landing platforms, and a Rocket Launcher.
    The map is "Jumppad_test" in case anyone asks.

      The way it works, I have a small wind tunnel entity at the base of the pad, and then before the pad ends, it keeps the player going quickly up the slope, which then flings them into the air, so they're technically free falling when they launch off.
