    Just a quick concept for Axe Shotgun Weapon Combo
    (this was made in few hrs as a practice to learn some minor modeling/texturing stuff)

    Skin on the low poly needs to be reddrawn from scratch.
    This is just HQ texture scaled and indexed to Quake Palette

    TBH...

      maybe round the head of the axe? kind of like socks axe? add spikes? really i just think its the angle of how quake displays the weapons... hard to even tell theres an axe on it in game..

      sexy though

        Yeah..I think it will look better if I add Idk, spikes, chains "pentagram charms" and misc decorations to the weapon, maybe a 1st person hand and if I change 1st person view angle (and of course melee attack animation)

        The problem with decorations is that I'm limited to mdl file format limits...

          One more problem I have while converting from Modeling Software to MDL is model dimensions and coordinates....
          Somehow I always manage to fukc them up...And I have to fix them in QME

          Does anyone have "dummy files" (models OBJ/3DS/MAX/FBX etc...) with accurate Quake Dimension sizes for Weapons Monsters, and other models?

            if you're actually able to angle the weapon i dont think you need to change anything, the weapon looks awesome! i could suggest exporting some of the vanilla models to a format you can use to import then scale and what not?

              Wow that's fantastic! Love the lever action. Don't see that on shotguns too often, especially in video games.

                Well TBH I was watching T2 the other day...so I was thinking that would be a great weapon for Quake1...
                So I've created the model and added the Axe to it (because why not)

                  Yeah, it looks good!

                  I've found that if you shorten the view model and fatten it, it will look more traditional and not skinny and weird in the centered position.
