The Goal of this little mod is to show how darkplaces can work with md3 models. In this mod the torso of the soldier is independent from the legs, AIM vertical is different from the legs of you are very low or hight from the soldier they target you with realistic angles (not like quake). Enjoy ( very nice to test with dark maps and soldiers )
Maybe i can release the mod with everything but the model. and you only will take the current model from your own quake 3 arena and get the HD and segmented soldier
Wish the first 3 pics were a bit closer to the model instead of 1cm tall, cant see much. The sideways picture is the only one of quality...
Either way nice job, ill have to test it out.
Works really well also, would this work for the Q3 ranger model?
I did work in a soldier with the Ranger q3 model and edited textures (taken from reforged soldier) But i can not release the stuff, (you know problems with copyright). Maybe i can release the mod with everything but the model. and you only will take the current model from your own quake 3 arena and get the HD and segmented soldier
Hmm, this might be a noob question, but how do I run it? I unpacked it in the quake root folder and ran the .bat file. It launches darkplaces and loads e1m1, but no new soldier meshes, just the default one?
Knowing your amazing xxQC skills, it is no suprise for me that you came around the corner and have a little present for us in your bag
The idea to give the soldier a flashlight is really nice.
If I remember your mods before, I see some parallels in it.
Knowing you are working on a survival horror mod, this fits perfectly...
Also the viewangle of the torso: just sweet !
Unfortunately I cannot download the mod due to the webspace.
Maybe you (or someone) can reupload it to another one ?
Thank you for sharing your remarkable work Nahuel.
