no thats not true, kurikai is one of the authors of doomsday, but he didnt create all of these textures, they are created by many different people from the doom community

theres a ton of people who've contributed all of those textures,
it would take ages to find out which person made which of those textures and ask each of them for permission.

so sorry to hear about your loss when the time is right i hope you pick up and finish this i love his maps there better then the official quake ones a lot of time. if you have never played it try the last map in unforgiven that is the most epic boss fight ever! (hint press 9 when in the game to get the guns)
