Anyone who is worried about getting their asses kicked in a game of quake needs to really loosen up! We all have to get good at a game some way some how and the best way to get good at a game is to play persons who are better then you. Learn from them. Also today's day in age i am not all about putting a beat down on someone as i would rather have someone to play with. I will completely back my skill down to make it fun for both of us. I will kill you and you will kill me simply put. The problem i have seen though is that some player's who connect obviously know they are going to get beat down like no tomorrow and when they start killing that other player they simply think they are being toyed with and leave the server. Here is what I want. Baker almost 2 year's ago setup a server on one of my server host and it was a CONNECT > RANDOM TEAM red/blue > PLAY and that was it. You cant choose a color. It worked out, almost every day people were playing. Different skill level's and such. WE NEED THIS BACK! Maybe r00k can help us with this if he is around. Would be glad to have it back for sure.

I'm in Australia so lag maybe an issue I guess.

Client doesnt matter in a connection sense but there are preferred clients (ask someone that knows more about that). To connect just open console and type

connect server.address.com:portnum

use the first address in WickedLord's signature without the last CAX part. If you need a better ping simply move to Texas. Maybe WL would even let you stay with him if you promise to play Quake MP everyday. Actually I know he'd let you. You don't even have to ask, just show up kids, dog and all. He has this awesome gravel driveway you can do doughnuts in too.

318....you wont even be able to play. It will be like watching a slideshow of what happened 10 seconds prior with interludes of you seemingly teleporting to the next slideshow frame... sorry it's just true. By the time you see someone you will actually already be dead.

a acceptable ping...
Newyork is good for USA/EU/BR/ , now we need to find a place to add Aussies from down under ;-)
