That sounds interesting, I'd love to hear it once it gets finished, if it does. Personally I've wanted to get into remixes and/or making music, but I lack the equipment and skill to do so. Speaking of:

This one's a cool one from the March of the Pigs single. Reptile's been my favorite track of of The Downward Spiral for a while now, and I wish it had its own single to go along with March of the Pigs and Closer. This particular remix was done by Dave Oglive for NIN back in 1994 using samples from old 50's fetish movies (not the audio track in the original, which was from Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and the song's demo, "Liar". It's a little more upbeat and fast compared to it's cousin "Reptilian" from the same single, and acts as an instrumental version of the song with the exception of TR screaming "REPTILE!" at the beginning.

This dude's got a track record of awesome track record for NIN remixes. To me, at least, it feels like an anniversary Halo done sometime around The Downward Spiral, remixed by a dude Reznor met during a live show. This one in particular caught my fancy because it features one of my favorite tracks from Pretty Hate Machine, The Only Time ("While the devil wants to fuck me in the back of his car..." <- that one). It's an awesome mix that's good for staying up late and doing something that you'll probably regret in the morning.

This one I found off the NIN subreddit. I don't know if I'd call this a remix, but basically it's the song Copy of A off of NIN's last commercial release Hesitation Marks, but layered over itself. It's an interesting concept, but I think the dude needs to go through and master the track or something because there's this weird audio glitch around 0:47 that's annoying the hell out of me. Beyond that, for an individual mix done by some amateur off of YouTube, it's alright.

This comes from Y34RZ3r0r3mix3d (Year Zero Remixed), and while the whole album is great, this track in particular stands out for it's awesome beat and rendition of the song. The original album, Year Zero, reared it's ugly head right before The Slip and subsequent Wave Goodbye Tour in 2007. These albums, along with Ghosts I-V, were released all in the same timespan largely due to Reznor having a dispute with Interscope, the record company that saved them from TVT and the parent company of Nothing Records (which also housed Marilyn Manson from most of the 90's). Lyrically and historically, this is an interesting point in his career, because Reznor had fully sobered up since The Fragile in 1999, which was probably his lowest and darkest point in his personal life and career. He released all of these independently under the Null Corporation outside the realm of Interscope's jurisdiction. Currently, Nine Inch Nails is signed under Columbia Records, and their next album'll be released sometime next year (which, like any self respecting NIN circlejerk, I will buy).

This is just for fun. The song is The Great Destroyer from Year Zero, this was in Luxemberg. Reznor really is to synth what Hendrix and Sharrock were to guitar.
