you continue to ignore what happened after they tried to grab him. regardless of the reason for arrest, you're not allowed to fight off cops. period. wrestling cops is 1000x worse than taking too long to ask a question. and its illegal

i still can't believe that happened in like.. America.
you can get arrested just for that? for asking a question? how can that be considered as inciting a riot?

i live in a second world country at best.. and you can spit your lungs out asking anyone questions and nobody will arrest you.. in the worst case you may get a fine for disturbing the public order if people report that you're disturbingly too loud.

..and there were cases when politicians were seriously insulted (by normal people with no power whatsoever), even with strong language.. and they still can't get arrested. you can get a civil lawsuit for public insult and damaging reputation, but that's just tedious and politicians know that suing random people won't get them any votes.

and why there's no reaction from Kerry? he would've looked better if he'd come down and tried to reason with the police to just escort him out and let him go.. it would've boosted his popularity for sure, showing that he doesn't hold a grudge against those who oppose him.
one quake to rule them all.

Yeah, that was a missed opportunity.

I mean Boris Yeltsin launched a whole political career off grandstanding in front of tanks.

Just remember, John Kerry was the guy who couldn't beat Bush in a year of economic stagnation and an unpopular war in the US. :d

        Worst politician ever!

I think this guy deserved to be told "STFU" in a stern manner but not ruffed up like that. But he shouldn't have made a spectical of himself in such a manner then keep it goin when the enforcement tried to drag him out

it was a pretty popular war at that time, probably still with majority support. it was before the al qaeda bombing of the shrine in samarra in february 2006 and the resulting security meltdown--shit wasnt going too bad till then
