I made a fast edit to my post, hope you read it
Some beers taste REALLY good with certain foods, like Tecate (Mexican) with mexican food

I personally love IPAs because they have such an earthly flavor, you can like taste the hops, but it's not for everyone.

EDIT: ...oh! and Red Ales, that's a nice hearty brew that warms you up fast

Oh, forgive my lack of attention to detail
I was kind of in the moment there...

Not sure what micro-brews you can find there.

Louisiana = Abita. It's not a "micro-brew", but it sure as hell ain't budweiser.

Going to have to add that to my list of brew to try.
Here in Okinawa, Japan, their beer selection is limited, but it's all Japanese!

Sake is the thing here, flows like water is costs about as much

not trying to condone drinking or anything but

Abita Purple Haze = must try one. IDK about a whole 6 pack though. That would be like eating an entire cheesecake.

Abita Amber = do it up

Abita Turbodog - if you like dark beer you may like this. Pretty bitter though

Abita has a LOT of seasonal beers

                  Christmas Ale
                  Mardi Gras Bock

and a bunch I don't remember cause I never tried them. Speaking of Mardi Gras, that is today.

Happy Mardi Gras! (which means Fat Tuesday for those that don't know)
