  • New Ctf Map!

    Okay so, I really like capturephobopolis. And I like elder to but teh bases are unbalanced and theres a horde of quad. So, I've made a version of Elder about the same size as capturephobopolis, with only 2 quads and enough room for 16 players to compete without much problems!

            Ya, hopefully.. there is only one hallway to the otherside which might make it a little combersome. I can add another connecting avenue which might make it more strategic. We only had one game worth of play testing on it so far (a 3on3). Some considered it to be too big.. but to me its not bigger than Mc. Station or some of the other mirrored 3wave maps. When I feel its complete I will post the .map file too.

              I actually really like the map, my only downfall to it, is that it doesn't have enough color. I got Woods textures/models last night, and you know how CTF1 is represented with this shit? The vibrant red, the vibrant blue, I think that would make the map so much prettier. I also like your idea of another avenue, one team COULD clog the path, and dominate the game.

                those colors are added .lit files, which can come later on after we nail down the structure of the map I did make ALL the textures on each team RED or BLUE, and believe me if u had to paint each wall in your house TWICE, you might get an idea of how mundane that task was But, it was a task that was required, as some people got lost even so.


                I was thinking of a teleport at RL or maybe a hidden route somewhere??

                  I like the teleport idea, I keep trying to think of another avenue that would be logical, and I can't seem to think of one. Adding water to the map would be too much(./?)

                  Remember the other night when you first showed it to me, you talked of maybe adding a teleport where the RL is @ red base? I was thinking it might even out if you put a teleport there that came out @ the ring at the BLUE RL , and visa versa, this seems to me like a midway point of the map the way it is as of now, and you could go back and forth, so with this teleport and the pathway already included, there's pretty much 2 ways around, also giving the BLUE RL more traffic since we've never really seen that area used, it's always kinda been "wasted space" in the map as opposed to the rest of it.
