CTF - who's still around?

Weird issues...

Hey guys, I tried joining ctf.clanhdz.com... When I connect, I get a "Connection accepted"... and then nothing. It doesn't get past there.

I set up a quakeworld CTF server locally and got 6 other people in the office to install quake, and we've been playing, so I know I've got everything configured properly...

Any thoughts?

I just played my first game of quake ctf flag today, and I got to say its quite fun. Hell as long as there are servers for it I will be there.

We play almost nightly, but sometimes we don't get started until 11:00 pm est. If you want to try and get a game going just start idling on ctf.clanhdz.com, usually if you are a little patient people will show up

Sup ladies. Just installed Quake 1 again after about a 10 year layoff. When I first played I was in HS.. now I'm married, got a job and living on my own. Seriously, I feel old now. When do you guys play again, Sunday?

I used to play CTF on occasion as well. What all do I need to get back in the swing of things? I cant remember, does ctf require a mod like TF or can you just download the maps (via the link from a few pages back)?

If I just use WinQuake will I be able to connect to the server, as I cant get ezQuake to run?

well if u get a special build of ezQuake u can use the /nq_connect command or use Zquake 0.17 or Qrack 1.9 or ProQuake 4

Monoz, sorry about that. It took me two tries at organizing a ctf tourney before I realized what Frenzy had told me was true. The only type of tournament that will work these days, is one that takes place in one night.

Disco, we play almost nightly, with the exception of Friday and Saturday.
