  • Quakeworld CTF server.cfg example

It has been OVER 10 years since I put together a QWCTF server. I forgot most of how to do it.

I think I can figure it out again, but I really need a:

Quakeworld Threewave CTF server.cfg example file

I can then edit it the way I want.

I also would like to put the Threewave flag ents back into the original id maps, I remember having to go through with compiling the ents to each id map. However, I wouldn't be able to remember HOW I did it back then.

Or if anyone knows a good resource page for specifically setting up QW Threewave CTF servers, please let me know or point me in the right direction.

    Thanks in advance.

PS The setup would be on a windows based PC

Good idea. Although, personally, I don't nor never did like TW CTF. With SOOO many runes, it made everyone be able to get a rune. Combine this with the airgun, etc, and it is far too noobish for my tastes.

The original Threewave was the best.

I agree but even the Threewave code base for QW is way outdated.

Yet, I've found this for starters. http://tldp.org/HOWTO/archived/Game-...uakeworld.html

Of course I tried google and found that site before, but its meant for linux servers, and doesn't give enough details on CTF setup.

IIRC, there was a pretty complex system of deathmatch flags where you add to add 16+536+19+12+1+412 (all variables for certain things like rune dropping and flag dropping options, stuff like that).

You said, "outdated", does that mean there are some good frontend programs out now for setting up QWCTF servers?

If so, what are they? I am only used to doing it the original way.
