I always say good game. These days I dont really mind getting stomped though. Its nice to just be able to play ctf again. Although I find it funny at times how I connect and the game is locked 2 on 2 or 1 on 1. Thats the only thing that bugs me about servers these days. The way things are I think it would be better if the teams were never locked. Being married these days with a new kid, I just dont have the time to wait for a match to end or try to wait 20 minutes at the computer until I can play only to have it cut short because the family calls. Usually when that happens I leave to another servo or play some sp. It seems it would be nice with the community being much smaller than used to be for the servers to be open for anyone that wants to play at anytime.

I do like the server when I get to play though. I just have no idea which maps its running besides the 3wave maps.

a bad game consists of lopsided teams.

If Team A is stomping the shit out of Team B, and Team B stands no chance (which,typically happens) , then thats a bad game.

Good Games for everyone means they enjoyed themselves, win lose or graped.

When people say "good game", it doesnt always mean it was close down to the wire. But, instead, you had some good shots, i had some bad shots. And that we understand when where we made mistakes, and acknowledge the success of the winning team. It's a sportsmanship gesture, like a handshake at the end of a game. I think a game like 500 to 20 is not, a gg. In this case it was just bad team choice.

the hardest part of having a goodgame is being able to lose with dignity, lick your wounds or stroke your ego, and READY UP for a rematch.


Quitters fail at quake. Your best GAMES only come from ENJOYING yourself. If you aren't enjoying yourself (winning AND losing) , then you diminish yours and others quake experience.

if you see that your winning by 100 or MORE, go for QUAD less often, use lesser weapons while you "dance around" your newb opponent. If your opponent is obviously distressed from being GRAPED into obvlivion, then take it out of over-drive and allow your fellow comrad to "preform slightly better".

i took out ctfbblud since it wont load for some reason. I added cheatc for the moment but will consider a diff map once I go through my huge list of maps.

Most of the new maps seem to work except "ctfbblud" which is #11 then #9 on the warp menu. When you warp to that it seems to crash the server.

*edit* also you should add ctfnec.bsp, its a ctf map of necropolis. seems like a good one for the id fanboys
