The alternate to a hook in modern CTF became the bunny-hop, UT made a translocator that shot a disc out that u could teleport to. UT3 has a hover surfboard for a ctf vehicle. The actual skill to the hook is you have to aim where you wanna go, wait for the hook to connect, strafe to compensate for the aim/obstacles, and timing when to let go. Oh and you have to switch your weapon so you are defenseless for a second. On a big map, i dont see why DM players dont like the hook. I mean, ELDER would be fun to DM if there was only 1 or two quads.

Think this could be nice.
One thing I've wanted to see in a game that supported observers was to have them actually be able to play against one another (but invisible to the actual players).
So you could have a match going which counts, and then could have a scrimmage via observers (would have all weapons, cannot pickup stuff and all projectiles/tracers would be invisible and go through the active players).

Your really into the idea of doing a ton of more shit while in OBSERVER mode, aren'tcha ???
If your gonna be moving around in OBS mode, wouldn't you be better off playing instead?
