Spring 2011 CTF Tourney

Since you all are slow to get this started I'm starting a thread. Let's do it the same as we did last time, but we'll assign captains and pick from the player pool in this thread. If you want to do this again, or you want to sign up for the first time, let us know in this thread.

Wow, quite a response already. I guess this has turned into a 1 v 1 tourney with just Rambo and I. When do you want to play Sunday, Rambo?

Hey count me in too. When muller & myself were team champions of the world, I remembered how much fun CTF could be (when you're #1).

Hopefully muller, Myself, & frenzy can become a next-gen superteam in ctf. Then we can take on the likes of another great current superteam for the grand championship...

I'm thinking like brian, tal & cd or something of that nature. I'll have to put the touchpad in the closet & dust off the old hooker mouse for those matches...

I've only complimented 3 quakers in my life: tv, D3M-tv, & DOOM-tv.

I'll play.. but only with a better organized tournament.. last time I chimed in and tried to run it better and the person who's running things disappeared half way through.. this has happened the past few tournaments.. that is a partial reason for why I stopped playing the last one.. who ever is running this thing.. stick to it.. it shouldn't be someone who doesn't show up that often.. so in this case.. the person proposing this 'spring tournament' is fairly active.. and I'm fine with that.

I never said you stopped playing, you simply stopped posting in the forums and keeping the website / players up to date as to what matches were going to happen when.. etc.. you did that for the first 2-3 weeks and things ran very well.. after that it was literally like playing pickup games.. people also raised several concerns which were not addressed at all .. so I guess if you want to run a tourney these things have to be taken care of.. if you had lots of responsibilities to handle you should have asked someone else to handle the tournament and perhaps just done the website aspect of it.. etc..

this happened last time when you tried to run a tourney which was why I was hesitant to join this one.. about half way through you stopped taking care of it.. and this is not all on you.. other people didn't show as well that signed up (Bosh for example, myself after a little while).. you showed up for all the matches.. but I'm talking about the online organization..

Running a tournament isn't an easy job.. the fact that you got people more active in CTF and regularly playing is commendable.. nonetheless.. this is why I asked whoever organize this one to stick with it until the end..
