to learn the maps just connect to one of the servers.

That gives you a list of maps to vote on.

Then just type the map name "ctf2m3" for example.

If the server is empty is switches right to the map.

Here is how the scoring works.

Scoring
Action Score
Killing an Enemy 1
Capturing the Enemy Flag 15
Bonus to teammates for you capturing the Flag 2
Recovering the flag (ie, returning your flag to base) 1
Picking up Enemy Flag 2
Fragging Enemy Flag Carrier 5
Fragging someone shooting at your flag carrier 3
Fragging someone while you are defending the flag carrier 1
Fragging someone while you are defending the flag 3
Assisting in Flag Capture by returning flag followed immediately by capture 1
Assisting in Flag Capture by Fragging Enemy flag carrier followed immediately by capture 1

Part of what alienates me about it is that I barely get any points or weaps for that matter. Neither do I know where on each map those flags are. I seem to run back and forth for no reason with very lil' action.

I suppose I am one big noob at it, thas what.. lol!

I think the thunderwalker mod is even better than the graphic.
