What's up with Quake 4 OpenCoop?

Me and a friend have just finished Doom 3 + ROE OpenCoop. I've noticed there is Quake 4 OpenCoop Techdemo - what is that? We have treid that out and it did not work - all we got was a black screen on two totally different computers (one has ATI GPU with Z68, the other has NVIDIA GPU with 990FX).

The OpenCoop site does not open:

Perhaps maintanance or something, but anyone know about Quake 4 coop?

never heard of a quake 4 opencoop. would have been cool though.

I think Quake4 (idtech5) looks like everything is wrapped in plastic.
The artists really overkill the bumpmapping. and the hard edge shadows make it look older.
