New fantastic sidescrollers + free games

    Hello,

I always liked to play good sidescroller games and as many of you know, there have been some magnificent released recently:

    Without a doubt a masterpiece: Trine + Trine 2

Followed by the fantastic remake of Giana Sisters: Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams

Now a new game was released wich joins seamlessly into these great games:
    Max: The Curse of Brotherhood

Playthrough on Xbox one (but game is also available for PC). Action begins at 2:30 min:
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQGknz2rjiQ]Max The Curse of Brotherhood Walkthrough Part 1 Let's Play Playthrough XBOX ONE Gameplay - YouTube[/ame]

It is really great to see what is possible with a "simple sidescroller game".
I highly recommend to try one of these, or at least watch a playthrough clip.
And the best: All of these games are less than 15 €.

    =====================================

Blizzard gives away these famous old sidescrollers games for free now:

    The Lost Vikings

    Blackthorne

Maybe this is interesting for some of you.

    Spelunky!

Spelunky has to be my favorite pick as of late. I love it! It's a different game every time you play. I was playing it for a little bit on my youtube channel (gamegrave.tv), I should really get back to that.

A couple others that are totally worth checking out are:
    • Shank 1 and 2, which are 2d brawling games and lots of fun.
    • Mark of the Ninja, if you're looking for some stealthiness.
    • Super Meat Boy, if you need more challenge in your platformers
    • Dust: An Elysian Tail if you'd like a beautiful looking RPG style 2d sidescroller.

EDIT: And of course, all of the games mentioned so far are really good too.

But dont forget Giana Sisters Rise of the owlverlord.
    Its great!

    Just 4,99€ on GOG!!

I like Lost Vikings very much. was one of the best games I play on my C= amiga (500, 500+, 600 and my 2000) in the 90s!.
There was a other series I loved, Shadow of the Beast.

    P.S:
