Some people are going to question my mental condition when I say this... But I think that Wolfenstein 3D had the best songs. Sometimes the best songs in the world are actually the simplest songs... Wolfenstein 3D had a wide set of original songs. Doom had some great songs, but I didn't have a tremendous interest in MIDI songs. In terms of heavy metal quality, I would rather listen to the real songs (with the real singers.) idsoftware had many good songs, but Wolfenstein 3D's music was a real stand-out! The music of Wolfenstein 3D was suitable for the movement.

Those do not stand the test of time in my opinion compared to anything Koji Kondo has done in the past.
