Hexen2's Deathmatch FAQ - Help!

Hi, I'm Lejionator, a quake2(and all others quakes) player!

I wish you could help me best to explain to me all about the multiplayer of Hexen 2, something like "Hexen2's Deathmatch FAQ".

1- What is the program(or server files) more optimized for dedicated server nowadays to Hexen2(to weak CPUs)?

2- There is a "server browser" or something that really works for Hexen2? Where can I find a list of current servers to play deathmatch online?

3- The deathmatch(FFA) was actually the most played online mode in Hexen2? Or single-player, CTF, or someone other mode(or mod) was the most overplayed in the past? Is there any mod like duels(1v1) and "vanilla" teamplay in this game?

4- There is something, a program that inhibits cheaters of entering the Hexen2 servers?

Please help me. I'm interested to encourage the resuscitation of this game (especially in my country, Brazil). Thanks by advance!

Thanks for the effort, my friend! I've been researching some of it, but I found some things that will take me where I'm going.

This "Hexen II: Hammer of Thyrion", aka "uhexen2" is a modern and enhanced vanilla-style of client port to hexen2! It is a good client, compatible with the operating systems of today.

Now I need to continue to look for my questions and see if I find something about this ancient and fun game!

I haven't tried it so I don't know.

There was something called NewHexen (1.17?) a while back but I can't find a link for it.

Anyway, If your just after mp then joining the above Steam group will probably help the most.

I have the original boxed versions of Hexen2 & the expansion packed away somewhere. I haven't played them in like ten years. I might go check them out on Steam now.
