Hello Seven,
The mission packs and the maps are the same, I just changed the readme and something else.
The maps for Quake3Arena there were already in the my other website, these maps made many years ago. I loved Q3A
Great job maps from Sock!
I hope soon to be able to continue (and conclude) with: mission pack by rino EVO...
Thank you for all, Tanti Saluti a Te!

Hello Rino,
Good to hear news from you again.
I see that you are now mapping a lot for Quake3:Arena and bringing all the Hexen ambience into this game
I picked out a random map for which you made a screenshot gif slideshow: click
That looks amazing !!
I also saw that you uploaded new versions from your Hexen2 mission packs.
What are the differences between them (february 2014) and the older ones (april 2012) ?
I saw that you updated the .pak files but no info is included...
Looking forward to your upcoming releases: Mission pack by rino EVO
I see similarities between you and sock, as he also made amazing Q3 maps and new textures; and is loving the kind of ambience you are using.
Keep up the good work !
Tanti saluti.

Well, looks like Hexen 2 was another sequel that had to undergo my "favourite" cut-it-to-tiny-pieces process. At least here, it does not alter gameplay much, not like Thief 3 for example. Anyway, I liked it more, merged with The Mill level.

Hello Mathuzzz,
I think that shows how much more things we could do if we were able to modify engine code.
I often feel like fighting in the mud to be able to achieve things with simple qc, while the same thing could probably be done with just a view lines in engine code.
And I dont speak about csqc.
But with helpful engine coders like Spike and others, we fortunately have a possibility to get new features and things implemented (if we ask kind enough
)
One of the biggest moments for me was, as LH implemented DP_ENT_TRAILEFFECTNUM on request. I do not know how many times I used this feature since then...
Linking a 'glow' feature to model names is a little weird, but if it works, its great
By the way, could you contact Jeank because of the "transparency skins" issue ?
PS: I also did not see WhiteMagicRaven around. But I am sure he is not 'lost'.

Seven,
I found out, that the glow around flame models is probably defined by model name. I imported several decorative lights models, naming them flame3,4, etc... and they all have glow now
Off topic, I havenīt seen WhiteMagicRaven around for some time, hasnīt been active for more than 2 months, I hope he wasnīt afflicted somehow by the bad conditions in Ukraine.

Hello gangrel1984,
You can download Hexen2 + Portals .lit files from here: click
You can also use the replacement models in Jeanks modified jshexen2.
He added the necessary fix last august.
I can only speak for myself (there are other peoples opinions of course), but the convertion to .mdl format is not really noticable, as you wont zoom into them, as shown here. In the end, you must test it by yourself.
The replacement textures for original models are also very good though.
I play jeanks complete pack myself, wich is as faithful as possible. His resized and reworked world textures are what I like
Together with his additional engine tricks its my first choice. But that is a personal thing of course.
FTE is also a realy great engine for Hexen2. Be aware though, that there is a tiny gameplay bug where you have to noclip through a mesh to pick a model (at least that was the case when Spike last time talked about it).
But of course HoT and UQE are also great !
It all lies in your hands
