  • OSJC's HeXen II Crosshair

    ok, made a new crosshair for HeXen II running on darkplaces.
    well at least I think so, as I've not got a copy of HeXen II so I've tested it in quake, so please let me know how you get on with it!

    slap it in your gfx folder...

    shown on crosshair_color_alpha 0.5 and crosshair_size 0.4, just fyi

    dont know how to get it work since darkplaces doesnot support hexen2 close to this is fteqw

      oh, have you tried it in the other engine you use though? mind you, I'm not even sure if heXen has a gfx folder to copy to LOL!

      I've only said it's for dp because thats the only engine I use, so I know it works there (as a crosshair that is, obviously not running hexen)...

        not tryed another engines only tryed in fteqw, maybe should work in jeank jshexen2? will try in it

          oh, I hope it does.

          If that jshexen2 is J as in DooMsday (I'm assuming its not) then it probably wont. I tried making xhairs for jheretic/jDooM but doomsday only supports vector xhairs not graphic

          still let me know though
          Its just a png with transparency. No alpha channels and all that but If you cant re-size in the other engine It might look a little large, we can always resize it though can't we...

            Just so you know you can name it crosshair88 for example and then type in "crosshair 88" in the console and it'd select it, just so you never replace the defaults (but it wouldn't be selectable through the options - just console)

                dude, no offence, but that looks seriously messed up...

                thanks for the required knowledge to remake though;

                cross00.tga or cross00.png
                simply paste one of these to Hexen II\data1\texteff\

                I have remade my Xhair at 64/64 pixels and in both .tga and .png format just in case, either way, there should be no white outline now.
