You should take a look at this upcoming dungeon crawler game, it really brings back the 90s RPG.

    Hello,

The second best game just became better and got a successor !!

    Legend of Grimrock 2

I have no words to describe all the new things, outstanding visuals and amazing ambience, so I only link some screens, art and clips.

The game will be shipped in 5 days !!
So I will most likely not be online the next time

See what an indie team with a handful of talented and passioned people can do:

I have been, found a pretty swig helmet in a secret area, level 2 I think.

    This game though <3

    It's just

    Perfect <3

I'll probably write a piece on this since I'm researching the work of Brenda Romero, which in turn means I can talk about how wizardry inspired this amazing game

Oh, I'd get it from gog purely because I like the service

    and I'm actually a /HUGE/ fan of;
    Wizardy
    Might and Magic
    every roguelike
Every grid based dungeon crawler (only a few come to mind right now)

as far as requirements go, I'll probably be running this at 1920x1080 xD

I'll update this reply when I install it tomorrow (since I should be able to pick it up then)

Minor update, I'm still a child at heart.

    Hello OMacKnight,

I recommend in bying the GOG version, rather than any silly steam version.
With GOG you get a DRM free game, which you can always install 15 years later (like Quake) on any computer without internet as well.

Be sure to also check hardware requirements first.

And please report back how you like it.
I hope you do not suffer from claustrophobia, as its a dungeon game

    Have fun,
    Seven

I don't know why it's taken me so long to look into this game, I think I might have to just buy this

    right now <3

except I spent all my money on league of legends :c

But that is part of the Legend of Grimrock gameplay and mechanics.
Combat behaviour and strategies are depending on this.

Even the brand new Might and Magic X - Legacy moves in grids (outside and in dungeons), which breaks with earlier games of this series...

And I have absolutely no doubt that this dev team will make outside grid-based movement fun
Even in 1st LoG game, the old strategy: Forth, hit, back is not working here on purpose.
The monsters AI is reacting accordingly. (doesnt work always but in general yes).

I wonder if the outside areas will be grid-based like all the dungeons, grid-based movement doesn't look fit for the screenshots I've seen of those outside areas.

    Holy Jesus !

I have to contact the Indie team "Almost Human" and ask if they can implement support for Quake in their next release

They really do magic with their engine lighting-wise.
How spooky can it get... ?

The outdoor sceneries are also really beautiful.

Well, they said, that the outdoor area is a real screenshot of LoG2 WIP.
So, I think we are sure to see this beautiful area.

Imagine the new possibilities with outdoor areas in LoG2 compared to LoG.
That was something I really missed.
Also the new monsters look more than promising.

I'm getting a Stonekeep Sharga Mines vibe off of that first screenshot. The screenshot of the outside area just looks absolutely stunning, I hope they include that area in a demo at some point.

I have loved games like dungeon master or eye of the beholder. LoG is simply beautiful! A very nice mix between old and new skool
