Hexen2 Demo playable in your Browser

Hi,

i want to make a FPS shooter game with uHexen2 "Hammer of Thyrion" Engine. The special thing about this Game is it runs in your Web-Browser through jDosbox!
I have made a "Tech Demo" Web-Site where you can test the Hexen2 Demo game right in your Browser.
This requires Java 1.6+ installed on your System and a fast PC for a good framerate.

Higher resolutions really suffered FPS drop.

Thanks damage_inc for testing on PinguyOS.
There are hiccups when loading a map for the first time but then it should run smooth.

My box consists of:

PinguyOS 64(Linux)
Amd Quad core 965 BE
4 Gigs ram
ATI 5770 w/1 Gig vid ram
NO proprietary vid drivers

All I can say is... it wOrked!

I had a few hiccups at first, must have still been d'loading content.
After that, the level was okay I guess.


As far as browser playable gaming... IDK. Good luck with your project though.

Slow, unresponsive and awkward to play in browser, but if you're fiending for Hexen 2 I suppose this could hold you off for a good 15-20 seconds!
