I think the info about this is right here:

he didn't post on it between February and September
This is speculation, but maybe his provider took down his site for months of inactivity. That happened to me at freeforums.org. I just told them to gimme my site back and they did.

Another possibility is he is upgrading/moving his site and he simply isn't finished yet.

I just think it's a little dramatic to automatically assume that there was some form of negative action being taken. I could literally invent about 20 other possibilities off the top of my head that explain why his site is down, which are all just as valid as the negative assumptions.

Maybe MH doesn't even know his site is down. Maybe he signed up for BlogSpace (or whateverz) with a SPAM email account and he didn't get the warning emails that his site is about to be pulled down due to inactivity.

Maybe Blogspace has reason to believe that MH had illegal content on his site and his site has been pulled until the investigation is over.

Maybe MH has some other site and all of you missed the memo.

Maybe yesterday is MH. Read what he wrote and tell me it is impossible. It may just be a coincidence but his words can easily be perceived to be telling you in "code" that he is MH. yesterday seems to know his stuff with QC and engines and he came from nowhere. Where did this information even come from?
Especailly when those people are wondering souls, looking for a place to call home.
I'm just saying it isn't impossible.

I could do this all night. You get the point.

He can leave if he desires, rest assured he won't be any less of a coder or a nerd of it.

It is not worth questioning other people's methods. Especailly when those people are wondering souls, looking for a place to call home.

It appears that he has decided that, for at least the time being, here is not home, and we should respect his feelings about this. Maybe he will return, one day. He wouldn't be the first person to return after an extended absence...

Hmm. Taking his blog completely offline seems like a rather drastic step though.

I mean, he didn't post on it between February and September (or August, I forget) this year, but he didn't actually go so far as to remove it.

Perhaps this is a technical glitch rather than an actual decision to end the blog. I sure hope so; I enjoyed reading it.

In the last 14 years that I have seen MH around the Quake scene, he comes and goes sometimes a couple weeks sometimes a couple years. I'm sure he's busy on a real-life work based project, and wants to return to his quakexperiments...

    *Thread resurrection!*

http://mhquake.blogspot.co.uk/ seems to be completely gone now

    Any idea what happened?

It would be good to see him back as he was a real force for good in Quake. Let's hope that this (sort of) return is permanent

    Kind regards
