I have a 3 CD set I to III - runs on Win7. Very cool.
I have bin/cue sets for missions 1 to 3 and extract using PowerIso
Running setup.exe (as admin or other) gives up the "not 64 bit..." msg.
I have dosBox OK and mount c:\ but... msg.= "not a dos file"
How to install mission packs?
This is about the most complete post I found
http://quakeone.com/forums/quake-hel...in7-64bit.html
but I get bogged at: " Once you mount c: c:\setup you will right click on INSTALL and run as Admin. There is no right-click in dosBox?
I figure it can be done but I may need a bit more help. thx

I know you have the files, Bin/Cue files.. I abandoned ship because of thisOriginally posted by arfa View Post>> I can't do anything else for you

I wasn't asking about acquiring - I have the files. It is a question of installing them.

seems a lot like
"Sixteen men on the dead man's chest,
Yo, ho, ho and a bottle of rum,
Drink and the devil had done for the rest,
Yo, ho, ho and a bottle of rum!" territoy.
Glad you got things working, next time less conflicting statements would do you well, as if you have CD Set's how do you have bin/cue's ?Those are files not found on either Quake1-3 install discs, and AFAIK Mission Pack's didn't come in bin/cue format either.

Rather than assume the worse, I just gave you a fishing pole and a few nightcrawlers. Maybe you'd feed yourself.
Please, don't take offense. None was intended, I just felt like you coulda just came from the
and WHALE I guess I've said enough already.

Hi arfa,
Have a go at this :
Download Darkplaces : Link
Install Darkplaces.
Copy ID1, Hipnotic & Rogue folders into Darkplaces folder.
You might need to make a darkplaces shortcut, right click on Darkplaces, exe > make shortcut.
Edit the Darkplaces shortcut properties to read darkplaces.exe -hipnotic.
Enjoy Quake & mission packs with lots of modern options.
If you hunt around on QuakeOne you can get lots of HD upgrade goodies too.

TIP (not mine) - copy the desktop QI icon and:
right click > properties > target + add the switch at string end: eg. -hipnotic
Also to partition the HD and dual-boot win95 to run the install. I am not that big a gamer these days so may not
Quake is definitively classic 3D gaming.! After 15 or more years I am still loving it. And I will spend a bit more time in the forum and see what else is happening.
thanks

Thank you.

I see that now. About 33mb
The whole came as a gift and - like after nearly a year - I finally get to check this out.

I think you missed this part: "Browse to your Mission pak CD's and copy the folders ROGUE and HIPNOTIC and place them directly in the C:\QUAKE folder".
Translating that with the information you supplied I'd say: Use PowerISO to extract the folders ROGUE and HIPNOTIC from the bin/cue sets and place them directly in your QUAKE folder, wherever that may be! BAM, mission paks installed
The folders contain the only thing you need, the .pak files. Well, there's also a quake.exe but you can discard that obviously.
EDIT: To open BIN / CUE files and extract files from them using PowerISO, please follow the steps here, http://www.poweriso.com/tutorials/open-bin-cue-file.htmLast edited by damage_inc; 10-01-2014, 06:09 PM.
