I was wondering if anyone here knew the answer to my problem. It seems that FTEQW only works when logged into the root account in Linux. It just loads up blank when I use my user account. Any ideas?

there's nothing that requires root access (except maybe audio...)
try running it with -nohome, and if that fixes it go and delete stuff in ~/.fte/* (probably just the configs)
