I was loading up a new "Quake " to go on a new install of Win 7... I was going to use it on my second drive.." D"... As I started up the quakespasm to test it out.., my quake started loading up like there where many, many, many different quakes being seen.... It was very noisy , with all of the different part loading at once...
Is there a fix for this....? I tried reloading windows again and it seems to still be there...
Any help..?

are you saying there was more than one engine loading? reloading windows won't have any effect on D drive if your installing win7 on C drive
