  • Quake II & III on GOG and there's a bundle deal.

Quake II and III are on GOG now with, once again, no bonuses....
Okay, now I don't if The Diary of Atticus Malitch or the artbook were officially released or a fan-made thing, but hey, they could throw in something for, you know, the forefathers of the FPS itself?

It's basically the same data you could torrent or get ripped-off on eBay for, it's just that now it's legal, and you can all rest assured that the money will go straight to Bethesda's pockets! Wait, what?

Anyway, the bundle offer is here and will go on for 4 more days.

I assume, Doom III would be next. Quake 4 doesn't belong to Bethesda, AFAIK, right?

As far as a quick google around tells me, all id software developed and/or published games belong to Bethesda now.

Quake 4 is published on Steam by Bethesda.
So outright id properties like Wolfenstein, Doom, Quake, Rage are owned by Bethesda.

Not sure about Heretic & Hexen, they are published by id software but I think Raven (well Activision from '97) might hold the rights to the ip.

    Maybe?

Buying Quake 3 in 2015 is not even worth buying. Nobody plays it and most servers have bots on them.
