Quake Live is now B2P for EVER! and its steam only

Are there any Australians here who would know how to host a server? I tried, and failed.

Just checked it out and honestly I don't have much to say, it's quake live. Which I really didn't enjoy outside of duel after the weird loadout/auto strafejump patch

and if I can start my own servers now I might be inclined to play it

After some evaluation I gotta say I like this way more than the subscription model. I can vote again, play all the cool maps, great. Interface and everything is also better. For me this was a good move.

I believe if you email quake live support, you can get a Steam Key for QL if you had a non-steam account before.
