Combining two of my childhood favorite games

So for me, before Quake there was this:

Such fond memories, Double Dragon 2 for NES, top in the list of my all time favorite games, including Quake.

For years now, I've been wanting to recreate the first level in 3D, capturing the that core gameplay mechanics in all its glory within 360 degrees of freedom. While I may never get around to recreating this game or part thereof by myself, that is not to say others who share my interests cannot. Therefore, I thought to solicit modders, modelers and mappers interested in working on this with me.

I know this probably not the place to post this, but if you want to work on this with me, or you know of somewhere else I can post my request, do respond!

this was never my game but i love the street fighter 2 hd they did also. i have seen these games for ps3 and xbox but i do not know if they were made for pc.

I haven't played them, but I've read mixed reviews. I heard neon is decent, but it does not feel like a double dragon game to me. Also, I want to make a quake tc port!

To me, Abobo will always be a big, pixelated, burly bald man with a horseshoe mustache and an ugly scowl. No HD version's gonna top that, Neon or otherwise.
